My Experience with Adult Online Training

A big, big Project

The challenge was to create an online training course for manufacturing supervisors that would enable them to go from beginners to experts as leaders in their field.

Making the vision a reality: my role

I was responsible for designing everything from the logos and graphics to the site itself, along with the course design and flow. I created over 40 sessions along with a manufacturing SME for the 4 leveled Concepts in manufacturing Leadership courses. I served as editor for all of the articles and session notes which accompany the course, and wrote application questions for each of the 40 sessions. Per client request, I translated levels 100 and 200 into Spanish. including articles, session notes and video subtitles.

I used Abode Spark, Canva, Kajabi and Camtasia among other tools to create all of the aspects of this training site.

Once the objectives were determined, the topics were divided by categories and then placed into one of four levels, depending on the focus and level of expertise. The sessions follow a traditional model of eLearning, including a 15-20 minute teaching video delivered by the SME, an accompanying article, session notes to recap the main points along with the application questions, and finally a 10 question multiple choice assessment. When they successfully complete each session they earn a badge.

showcase the online course CML 100 for T4T

Since it’s launch in 2022, T4T has seen graduates from over 25 different manufacturing companies. Our feedback has been 99% positive, with companies signing up more supervisors and continuing to higher levels.

This incredible experience taught me so much. Creating training that helps leaders in their careers and truly impacts their quality of life is immensely gratifying.

I continue to maintain, iterate and improve this training site.
